10 Bakeries and Donut Shops We Love at the Shore

In a recent survey of Monmouth/Ocean residents, here are the unique bakeries and donut shops in Monmouth and Ocean Counties that we love:

1. Confections of a Rockstar Bakery, Asbury Park, for their cupcakes and birthday cakes.

2. Uncle Doods Donuts, Toms River. This place is a favorite of many that I work with...and for good reason!) They are so good that I prefer mine fresh with no toppings...that's how incredible they are.

3. Mueller's Bakery in Bay Head for their hard rolls and crumb cakes.

4. Papa Ganache, Matawan. Winner at the Cup Cake Awards, including gluten-free and vegan.

5. Old Monmouth Candies on Rt. 33 in Freehold for their chocolate and peanut brittle.

6. Crust & Crumb Bakery in Beach Haven for their Elephant Ears and chocolate chip cookies.

7. Criterion Chocolates in Eatontown for their chocolate AND salt water taffy.

8. Sweet Tease in Belmar, for their cupcakes and desserts.

9. Del Ponte's Bakery in Bradley Beach for their pastries and peanut butter brownies.

10. Joe Leone's Italian Specialties in Point Pleasant Beach, where the line runs past the parking lot and down the street on Christmas Eve morning for their delicious bread, not to mention incredible desserts...especially in the refrigerator section in the fancy glass cups!
