With the news today of a new Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie coming in 2016, and an announcement that a third installment of the Bad Boys franchise is in development, it's time to stop the madness!

Sometimes you need to leave the past behind, and stop trying to recreate it, or worse, attempt to capitalize on a 20-year-old success because you can't think of anything original! (Don't get me started on the new Ninja Turtles movie!)

    Friends

I loved that show as much as anyone could, and while I miss seeing it every week, there's no way anything good could come from a remake OR a movie.

    Clueless

Clueless was nearly ruined by that horrendous TV adaptation, but can you imagine a modern day remake? No. No no NO.

    Empire Records

I don't really even know how they could remake this one, (thanks iTunes!) but yet another reason why this fabulous piece of the 90s should be left alone! (Note: Some NSFW language at the end of the movie clip!)

    The Goonies

The Goonies is one of those iconic movies that is perfect in its own way. Why remake it when the original is so good?

  • 5

    Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Just picture Justin Bieber as the new Ferris Bueller. THE HORROR! (Note: Some NSFW language in the movie clip!)

  • 6

    Ghostbusters

When you think of the Ghostbusters movie, you think of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, Harold Ramis...that's how it should stay, dang it!

  • 7

    The Breakfast Club

Or any of those classic John Hughes films for that matter. The Brat Pack forever!

  • 8

    Back to the Future

Imagine a Back to the Future sequel involving Marty's kid taking place in 2015...OH WAIT, IT ALREADY HAPPENED. (Yeah, they travel to 2015 in Back to the Future II, how's THAT to mess with your brain.) How about this, until hoverboards actually exist, no Back to the Future reboots!

    Pretty Woman

As a coworker suggested, imagine they remake this movie, where Mila Kunis stars as a prostitute hired by a wealthy businessman played by Jon Hamm...ughhhh STOP IT.  (More NSFW language in the clip!)

    Saved by the Bell

'The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story' is one thing...a remake of the show? No please! We all suffered through the College Years...if SBTB comes back, it should only be in the form of re-runs!
