Yes we have seen some frigid temperatures here at the Jersey Shore way before Thanksgiving this season, and sure Buffalo is getting bombarded with snow, , but that isn't stopping the chances that we will have the hottest year on record!

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says August, September and October of 2014 have all been the warmest months on record. And that info is backed by global temperatures measured by NASA.

And winter may never be the same again! According to Discovery's News, global warming by greenhouse gases is so relentless that the odds are small that we will ever again see another record cold year in the future.

In fact the last time the world experienced a record cold year was over a hundred years ago. Since 1909, Earth has set 17 new records for the warmest on record. This year, 2014, is likely to set record number 18.
