2014 Seaside Heights St. Patrick’s Day Parade Map + Traffic Tips

The 30th annual Seaside Heights St. Patrick's Day parade is this Saturday on the Boulevard. With temperature's expected to be near 50, the Heights will be packed. Traffic will once again be an issue. Check out the parade route map and some tips that will make the festivities manageable.

The parade steps off at 12 p.m. on the Boulevard at J Street in the Park. Follow the green to the Boulevard and Hancock in the Heights. Here's the route:

TRAFFIC TIPS

A new traffic pattern is being set around a construction zone on Route 35. What is anticipated to be different for the parade as appose to the Polar Bear Plunge is that there will be more than one lane on 35.

Borough officials say that even though there's a plan in place to reduce during and after the parade, participants and spectators should still allow an extra hour of travel time to and from Seaside.

John Camera said in a statement:

There will be two lanes both ways into town and out of town. We have representatives from the Department of Transportation and the contractor out there and they’ve assured us that it will be ten times better than it was during the Polar Bear Plunge.

 

Plan ahead and use alternate routes.

One of the best alternatives is leaving on Hamilton Avenue. The road will be setup as "outbound only" on the afternoon of the parade. From there, go over the bridge and onto Route 37. Take 37 to either the GSP or go north on Fischer Boulevard.
