It's hard to believe that this will be the 77th Halloween parade in Toms River. One of the largest of it's kind, the event draws thousands. We've thrown together a guide with everything you need to know for the big night.

When is the parade?

Saturday October 31st. It steps off promptly at 7 p.m.

What if the parade is postponed?

The parade will go on! Monday November 2nd is the make-up date.

How do I register to be in the parade?

All participants and organizations must register the day of the parade at the Fire House between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. There is NO pre-registration. Registration is free, but donations are recommended.

What is the parade route?

Parade formation and start is at the Toms River Shopping Centre on the corner of Rt. 37 & Rt. 166 (Main St.) The Parade will travel down Main Street turning left onto Washington Street ending at the corner of Washington Street & Hooper Ave.

How many people are expected to attend?

6,000 participants and 100,000 spectators. The Toms River Halloween parade is the second largest in the world!

Where is the best place to park?

It is suggested that you park at the Ocean County Parking Garage, located at Madison Ave. between Hooper Ave & Hadley Ave. Any vehicles parking on any side street off Main St. MUST be 1,000 feet off the corner of the parade and not blocking any driveways or hydrants. Do not park in the Toms River Centre! It is strongly recommended that you car pool if you are in a group.

Where should I pick up float / parade participants?

Please make arrangements to pick up participants off Hooper Ave (country parking area, school parking lot)

How early should I arrive?

It's suggested that you claim your spot on the parade route at least 2 hours prior to its start.

Where are the restrooms?

Portable restrooms will be throughout the Toms River Centre and at the end of the parade route.
