2015’s First Babies At The Jersey Shore

The new year is here, and of course that means the Jersey Shore has it's first babies born in 2015 for our area.

The first baby born in the area was Melina Sophia Esparza. She was born at Community Medical Center in Toms River at 2:01 am Thursday morning, making her the first baby born at a hospital in Ocean County for 2015, according to app.com. Melina weighed in at 7pounds, 3 ounces.

And just minutes later, at 2:30am, 7 pound, 15 ounce Daelle Thomas was born at Jersey Shore Medical Center. She is actually the second baby born in Monmouth County, but according to the article, the family of the first baby born (at Monmouth Medical Center) declined to be interviewed.
