Peter Cottontail will be making his way to the Jersey Shore before you know it, and there are plenty of primo Easter Egg Hunts happening in Monmouth and Ocean counties. Here's a breakdown.

MONMOUTH COUNTY

 

FREEHOLD - Saturday, April 1 - Freehold Raceway Mall

Freehold Raceway Mall upper-level food court. Part of the Freehold Mall's Free Monthly Kid's Breakfast.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. This event is free.

LEONARDO - Friday, April 7 - Croydon Hall Football Field

Take part in the Leonardo Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt! Bring your basket, running shoes and a flashlight and get ready to find those eggs! Parents are asked to not to assist with children 4 years old and older. Middletown Residents only. The fun begins at 7:15 pm

FREEHOLD - Saturday, April 8 - iPlay America

It's the Sonny the Bunny Colossal Carrot Adventure & Easter Egg Hunt! Look for me, Matt Ryan and 94.3 The Point!  Win an iPlay America Birthday Party and a one karat diamond jewelry piece!

BELMAR - Saturday, April 8 - Belmar Beach

Over 3,500 eggs will be in the sand on the Second Avenue beach. The hunt is open to children ages 1-9. The Easter Bunny will be hangin' on the beach too!

FREEHOLD - Saturday, April 8 (Rain date: April 9) - Battleview Orchards

Freehold's annual egg hunt is happening once again at Battleview Orchards on Wemrock. Registration is at 11 a.m. and the fun starts at 1 p.m. For more information, call  732-462-0756. They are asking that all participants bring a non-perishable item to donate to the food bank.

FARMINGDALE - Saturday, April 8 - Girl Scouts of New Jersey Program Activity Center

Registration begins at 8 p.m. This event is free.

FARMINGDALE - Saturday, April 15 - Historic Allaire Village

There will be over 10,000 eggs hidden in the village. Hunts are divided into age groups: 0-2 (with an assisting adult), 3-4, 5-7, 8-10, and 11-12.  A hunt takes place every 15 minutes and hunts are continuous throughout the day from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Pre-registrations is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.   Children under 3 years old are free.

Tickets are available here, or by calling  732-919-3500.  Tickets will be reserved under your name and can be picked up upon your arrival. Registration and pre-registration check-in takes place in the Visitor Center beginning at 11 a.m. Egg hunt times are assigned upon your arrival.

Other activities happening during the day include:

  • Visits from the Easter Bunny continuously from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Bonnet Parade and Contest at 3 p.m. in front of the General Store.
  • Face Painting and Balloon Animals continuous from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 

OCEAN COUNTY

PT. PLEASANT BEACH - Sunday, April 9 - Jenkinson's 

Free for kids, enjoy the unofficial kickoff to the summer season!

  • Kids ages 0–4 start in front of Jenkinson’s Aquarium
  • 5–8-year-olds start in front of Frank’s Fun Center
  • 9–10-year-olds start in front of Jenkinson’s Amusement Park

SEASIDE HEIGHTS - Sunday, April 9

It's the annual SSH Palm Sunday Egg Hunt on the beach! It's free for kids beginning at 1 p.m.

  • 0-2 – Hancock Ave
  • 3-4 – Blaine Ave
  • 5-6 – Sumner Ave
  • 7-8 – Hamilton Ave
  • 9-10 – Lincoln Ave
  • Special Needs – Kearney Avenue 

JACKSON - Saturday & Sunday April 15 & 16 - Six Flags Great Adventure

The first 100 guests with valid park admission will get to hunt for eggs before the park opens. More information, here.
