Reasons to Shop and Dine in Point Beach this Holiday Season!

I spent a lovely evening shopping and dining in Point Pleasant Beach last night. Here are some things you shouldn't miss out on. I started with three reasons to go...but then realized there are SO many more reasons to shop in this awesome little downtown!

During the holiday season, many of the stores in downtown Point Pleasant Beach are staying open later than usual...some 'til 6, some until 7, and Green Planet even later than that if you want to grab a cup of coffee when you're done.

There are two stores that I can ALWAYS count on when I need adorable and original gifts for men, women, and children alike. Your holiday season won't be complete without a look inside my two favorite stores: Stella e Luna and Deena's, both of which have the most unique and tasteful gifts all year round and especially at Christmas time!

Big Fun Toys is an awesome toy store loaded with excellent finds that will make you a hero among children when gift-giving this holiday season. Lola's Boutique is a great clothing and accessories shop for women, and I love Sunshine Daydream for fashion jewelry!

And then there's the dining. So many amazing places to choose from, including The Poached Pear Bistro (rated number one in all of NJ!) and the place we went last night for the most amazing Filet Mignon: Prime 13 Steakhouse, which also serves comfort foods like their amazing bacon appetizer, side dishes like lobster mac & cheese and creamed spinach, and a dessert to die for with thin, crispy crepes filled with canolli cream and topped with whipped cream and a strawberry sauce that will make you want to lick the plate!

So do yourself a favor and get into the holiday mood by strolling the awesome shops around Arnold and Bay Avenues in Point Pleasant Beach and grab a bite to eat for lunch. The Beanery is my favorite for a sit-down atmosphere and their fantastic Chai tea!  Joe Leone's Italian Specialties is great for for unusual and delectable gourmet gift ideas that you can put in a basket for the person who loves to cook at home!
