3 Things We Never Do During Summer At The Jersey Shore

Everybody who lives at the Jersey Shore knows summer is a whole new world around here.

There are a whole different set of rules we follow to get through summer season and you know them well if you live here. So here are three things we never do during the summer season here at the Jersey Shore.

We never plan anything that involves traveling south on a Friday. Has anyone who lives south of you invited you to their house on a Friday? Have you ever gone?

We never give up our parking space. If you live in a shore town, you will walk, bike, jog, skateboard, take a cab or not go at all before we give up that spot in front of our house.

We never expect to get anywhere on time. Traffic is everywhere just about all the time. The roads are full of drivers who haven't seen a circle since high school geometry and think a jughandle is the name of a mixed drink. We go slow on the roads, take nothing for granted, and get there when we get there.

May means summer, and summer means things change for those of us who live here. But we're not concerned. We've been here before.
