We remember it like it was yesterday, and it's hard to believe it was twelve years ago today.

I couldn't help but think about all the kids going back to school and the fact that, for many of them, the events of that day are not something they remember. And even though so many of their families were deeply affected, the tragedies as they unfolded that day are not something that holds a horrible place in their memories like it does for those of us who experienced it. And for those kids, I am relieved for that.

It also got me to thinking about the huge responsibility we all have to make sure those kids never have to experience anything like that...ever. Of course, we all know the phrase "We will never forget".  We should also never let our guard down.

Each of us deal with the anniversary differently. It's a very personal thing. Each of us was affected differently, and each of us handle it differently as well. To the families and friends and co-workers who suffered loss on 9/11, our hearts are with you today and always.
