Billy Gross from Barnegat came into our studios this morning to be on our show. If I didn't know his story, I wouldn't have known that he is dealing with a relapse and fighting his way through cancer treatments.

Billy is like a ray of sunshine. He is bubbly and always smiling. He is happy. And he is battling cancer treatments for Synovial Sarcoma, stage 4. He was initially diagnosed in June of 2011 when he was in high school. Since he was 17 at the time, he is considered a childhood cancer survivor.

Now 18 years old, Billy has relapsed and is being treated with infusions. But through all the pain and exhaustion, Billy was feeling good enough today to get out of bed early in the morning and visit us in our studio to come on the air and openly talk about his cancer and treatments. He is am amazing young man.

His friends Marissa and Michele came in with him, and they brought good news about a special fundraiser and day of celebration for Billy. They want to show their love for him and his family, so ALL proceeds will go to them.  And you're invited!

Billy's Believers Charity Event is a Zumbathon and gift auction with food, music, and fun for the whole family. It will take place on Sunday, September 9th, Noon - 4 p.m., at Standing Ovation School of Dance, 627 Mantoloking Road in Brick. Tickets are $25 for adults, $5 for kids ten and older. There will be face painting, bounce houses for children AND adults, a game truck and a pink glam truck for girls to get all prettied up and put on a show, an ice cream truck, and more.

And, to top it all off, you are invited to dance to the two hour Zumbathon (no experience necessary!)with some of the best instructors from Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Look for The Point Van, too, for your chance to win!

If you are unable to attend but would like to donate to help Billy, contact Marissa at ruby5980@gmail.com for more information.

Meanwhile, we will be praying for you, Billy! If anyone has the strength and positive attitude to beat this...it's you. And we love you. Please show your encouragement and love to Billy in the comments section below!
