The April food drive in Monmouth County has brought in over five tons for The Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties...record-breaking totals! And it's not too late for you to help.

Bring your non-perishable, protein-rich foods to any branch of the Monmouth County Library and they will waive late fees on your overdue books. In fact, bins can be found at all county government buildings.

Officials say they are stunned with the overwhelming response....but Monday is the last day for the drive.

The Food Bank Executive Director, Carlos Rodrigues, says every morsel is critical, especially with the steady unemployment rate in our area.

Although you may do your part by donating a turkey and trimmings around the holidays, hunger doesn't stop once the holidays end, so even if you don't have an overdue library book, stop by a branch and donate a can or two!
