A Jersey Shore 5k for a Cause

There are always a ton of races happening at the Jersey Shore, and I've signed up for another one. (Eek!)

Luckily this one comes with its own motivation...it's a charity run.

After my New Year's Resolution 5k run in April, I said I wanted to do another one. 5 months later, I'm actually signing up.

The Interlaken 5k happens Saturday, October 13th at 11 a.m. at Interlaken Park on Bridlemere Ave. in Interlaken. There will also be a 1 mile fun run/walk at 10:30 am and kids' races after the 5k.

The event will be hosted by and for the Boys and Girls Club of Monmouth County, which hopes to help local children by providing a safe environment, fostering ongoing relationships with caring adults, and providing them with the opportunities and knowledge they need to better themselves.

The event is also being run in cooperation with the Interlaken Recreation Advisory Council and Jersey Shore Running Club.

The entry fee is $20 until October 8th, then increases to $25. ($10 for kids.)
