Everywhere you go in Monmouth and Ocean Counties people are sniffling. Some have colds and some are dealing with seasonal allergies. Either way, it's no fun.

I don't know if it has to do with the long winter, but it seems like people are suffering more than usual. I was at a pharmacy picking up some items yesterday and the store was relatively quiet, except for the cold and allergy aisle, which looked like a bus stop at rush hour.

I just find it amazing that we went straight from shivering to sniffling, but I'm not complaining. Really, I'm not. I just wish after the excruciatingly long wait for spring to arrive this season that we should all be able to enjoy every minute of it.

According to weather.com today's pollen count is high, but the next few days aren't as bad.
