Please don't abandon or give up your pets in these post-hurricane days. Help is on the way! The Monmouth County SPCA van is making stops to help those in need and could more help with donations:

Today, Nov. 6th, the van is planning stops in the Highlands, Union Beach, and Keansburg areas  with cat and dog food for those who need it. For future van stop dates and locations go to www.monmouthcountyspca.org

If you are able to help support the pet relief efforts of the Monmouth County SPCA through donations, they are in desparate need of:

Dry dog and cat food (not opened)

Canned dog and cat food

One-gallon food storage bags (so that they can portion donations to hand out to residents)

Crates

Carriers

Paper towels

Cat litter

Litter pans (any kind)

Towels, sheets, blankets

Leashes and collars

Bring any donations to the SPCA's main location: 260 Wall Street, Eatontown.

For more information, call 732-542-0040

The shelter is open 7 days a week for donations from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (due to the town curfews still in effect until all the power is restored).

The Monmouth County SPCA is also distributing food to various shelters in need. They have turned their Community room into a loading area for pet food collection, with volunteers working to portion out food for distribution. Thank you for your support!
