Jesse Lewis was six years old when a gunman took his life. Now his mother wants to tell her story about a mother's love for her son.

The morning of December 14, 2012 began like any other for Scarlett Lewis as her six-year-old son, Jesse, set out for school, stopping in the driveway to write a message with his finger in the frost of her car door: "I love you." Just hours later, he would be gone - a victim of the gunman who opened fire at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.

Yet a new book written by Jesse's mom is not a story about a massacre. It is a story about how to face and survive the impossible. It is a story about how to find courage when you think you have none. It is a story about how to choose love instead of anger, fear, or hatred.

After that day, Scarlett was determination to fulfill the three words Jesse had written on a chalkboard at home shortly before he died: Norurting Helin Love (Nurturing Healing Love). Empowered by her son's simple message, Scarlett shares the steps of her personal journey back to living along with her discovery of how love would carry her and her family thorugh the heartbreak if they let it.

Scarlett Lewis has written the book "Nurturing, Healing, Love". She says although her story has many moments of sorrow, it's not a sad story . It's a love story. It's about her love for her sons, her family, her community, and God. This is a mother's journey of hope and healing.

In her son's honor, Scarlett has begun the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Foundation, an establishment committed to teaching children how to live a life centered around compassion and love. Scarlett wants to show how the world truly can become a safer, happier, and healthier place. How we can become instruments of compassion and peace in honor of Jesse's ultimate truth that love never ends.

100% of the profits from sales of this book will be donated to the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Foundation.

An excerpt from the foreword by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer says "Scarlett Lewis has faced the ultimate darkness. She has shared, from a deep place of truth within, the agony of losing her Jesse at such a tender age. Her message is a reflection of Jesse's life."
