One of two men charged with the fatal stabbing of a brother and sister in Freehold Borough in 2010 confesses to the crime.

Dong Biao Lin, age 27, of Manhattan pleaded guilty in Monmouth County Superior Court to first degree Murder and two counts of first degree Felony Murder for his role in the double homicide of a Freehold family during an armed robbery at their South Street home with his co-defendant Zeng Liang Chen.

The Monmouth County Prosecutors Office said Lin, a former employee of a Chen family restaurant, broke into the South Street home in Freehold Borough while the victims Mr. Yao Chen, 39 and his sister Mrs. Yun Juan Chen, 28 were inside, thinking there was cash in the home and attacked them.

Police were alerted by a motorist who reported seeing the injured brother outside on South Street who was bound and attempting to move about. His sister's lifeless body was found inside a bedroom.

Lin and Biao were arrested a short while later after police received information about two young Asian males on Main Street in Freehold who appeared to have been in an altercation.

Lin faces life in a New Jersey State prison subject to the "No Early Release Act" requiring him to serve 85 percent of the sentence or 67 and a half years before parole eligibility. He's scheduled for sentencing on April 24.
