Sometimes an older dog has trouble finding a forever home. Can you help our Point Pet of the Week?

Harley is a Chihuahua mix and would like a quieter home without young children. It can sometimes take this dog a little while to become comfortable with new people, but once he warms up he likes to be held and is sweet and affectionate.

Harley also likes other dogs. He would prefer only short walks -- that's still plenty of exercise for him, lol. He weighs 12 pounds and is downright irresistable! How cute is he with his Scooby stuffed animal?!

The Monmouth County SPCA says you can even try Harley out as a foster friend. For details on fostering, CLICK HERE!

As part of the MCSPCA foster and adoption programs, they are also featuring a Work in Progress program, geared towards their 'tougher' adoptable dogs. This program allows adopters to take the dog out of the shelter environment while still getting the full support (food, etc.) from the MCSPCA. CLICK HERE for details!

Also this weekend, the SPCA will be joining many other organizations at the West Long Branch Petsmart on Rt. 36 from 11 am - 3 pm for a Mega Adopt-A-Thon!
