Did you ever notice someone, say a neighbor or a person in line at the grocery store, that looked so upset and distraught that you thought maybe you should seek help?

A workshop called "Mental Health First Aid" is open to anyone in the community as several groups try to get the message across that everyone can be on the lookout for someone in need of help.

Just noticing a problem and saying something could go a long way in preventing a suicide or drug overdose.

It's called the "Say Something..." series, it's FREE, and its brought to you by the Wall Alliance, the Shore Community Alliance, and the Churches of the Manasquan Area Ministerium.

Their message is that together, we can learn the skills to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders.

Pre-registration is required. CLICK HERE to register. This is a two-part, eight hour workshop taking place on Wednesday, March 18th AND Monday, March 23rd, 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm.

The workshop takes place at First Baptist Church, 51 South Street, Manasquan. And if you're coming straight from work, they'll feed you, too! A light supper will be served at 5 pm.

The program is free thanks to grants to the Mental Health Association in NJ, BUT since seating is limited -- if you register, please make every effort to attend!
