Achieving Bold Highlights With Dark Hair and Grays

Jocelyn in Jackson has dark colored hair with some grays as well, and she wants to know the best way to achieve bold, chunky highlights. Salon Kokopelli co-owner Mary Ball has the answer with this week’s Beauty Secret!

Mary says that a bold, chunky highlight is a bit of a dated look, but if that's what she's going for, colored hair extensions might be a good solution. They clip in, and do little damage to hair, as opposed to bold highlights on dark hair, which can be very damaging.

She strongly suggests a consultation, where a stylist can see the current state and texture of the hair, and recommend a personalized course of action.
