Adam Lambert is all about modifying his look as of late. After bleaching his hair platinum last week, the singer has inked a thick, black script tattoo on his forearm. He tweeted an image of the tat, which reads “Musica Delenit Bestiam Feram.” So what’s that mean? Something about music and beasts, given our minimal knowledge of Latin?

It translates to “Music Soothes the Savage Beast,” something we unearthed thanks to a little web translation. That makes sense, since Lambert is a musician and that’s what he loves most in life. It’s a big tattoo, so it must be loaded with meaning for the singer. It’s not like he can hide it or slather it with a little camera or stage-grade concealer to make it go buh-bye when he’s in front of the camera.

It’s also fitting for Lambert, since he tends to favor black clothing, hair (up until last week at least, and we think he will return to his signature hue eventually) and eyeliner. He’s not a shrinking violent, so why would his tattoo be? It’s certainly a conversation starter. “Hey, so, Adam, what does that mean?”

What do you think, PopCrushers? Do you dig Adam Lambert’s new permanent arm accessory?
