Adoptable Animals That Survived The Hurricane
The Monmouth County SPCA has two Point Pets of the Week that were rescued from the superstorm.
Meet Twiggy, a 2 month old kitten that was found as a stray with a severe leg injury after the storm. It seems that a tree had fallen down on her during the storm. Her little leg had to be amputated but she is recovering nicely. Even with all that pain, this baby is still affectionate as can be. Twiggy has a long road to recovery but she’s a tough cookie and will eventually make a perfect family pet.
And then there’s Storm, an adorable two year old boxer mix that was found as a stray in an area hit heavy along the shore by the hurricane. Although he was very malnourished, Storm has a very sweet and friendly disposition. This handsome boy is recovering nicely and will be abailable for adoption in the next couple of weeks.
If you are interested in taking Twiggy or Storm home, please call the adoption center at 732-542-5962, or you can email the adoption email line at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
