Have you happened to notice that the Aldi on Route 37 in Toms River has been closed for the past two weeks?

Well as it turns out, the store is having a major makeover done and won't be reopening until early June.

So far, the interior has been emptied and is ready to be remodeled for a chic and open food shopping space.

"The remodeled store will feature a modern and convenient layout that focuses on what people love most: fresh food, produce, dairy and baked goods," said vice president of Aldi's central valley division, Bob Grammer. "The updated Toms River store will also feature open ceilings. natural lighting and environmentally-friendly building materials."

I would be lying if I were to say that I am not intrigued.

Aldi has 42 stores in New Jersey, including seven in Monmouth and Ocean counties which will be made over in the near future.
