I was always amazed by sea turtles. Mama turtles lay their eggs into the sand, and when the babies hatch, they just know to head right into the water.

These little guys had no idea that they were hatching right into a sea being pummeled by a hurricane.

You see dozens of them crawling towards the water just to get beat back by the rough water, churned up by the outer bands of Hurricane Isaac.

Some good samaritans on Pompano Beach, Florida (what the heck were they doing on the beach during this storm??) even helped one last runt of a turtle with a deformed flipper.

He was clearly having a tough time, so they scooped him up and according to YouTube, they took the little guy to a nature center in Boca Raton.

Have you ever gone to the beach to watch a storm?
