Even the most knowledgeable Jersey Shore residents had a tough time being up to the challenge. The latest Monmouth County Challenge was a tough one.

First, let's refresh your memory on the clues we gave you yesterday. I added some details today in bold.

It was first officially called by it’s current name on January 21, 1830, the same day the town post office was opened. This was the day the Postmaster General established the post office.

Giovanni Verrazano was the first explorer to visit the area. He anchored at Sandy Hook in 1524, and Henry Hudson arrived in 1609.

You can sometimes come across fossilized shark teeth in parts of the town, because over 65 million years ago, this town was under water. You may find one at the riverbeds at Ramanessin Brook Greenway Nature Trail Park.

It was once the home of New Jersey’s largest grape vineyard. It was called McCampbell's Grape Farm.

If you haven't gotten it yet, the correct answer to the Monmouth County Challenge is Holmdel.  Get more awesome historical details about Holmdel at the Holmdel Historical Society website.
