Bradner was William B. Bradner, who was a Newark businessman who was one of the investors who bought a lot of land in the town in the spotlight in this question.

And James A. was James A. Bradley, a wealthy brush manufacturer from New York, who also purchased many lots in this town now known as Bradley Beach. Now you know why we went backwards.
