Let's face it, nothing makes the holidays more bearable than a few cocktails.

This fun, festive drink is perfect for Thanksgiving and beyond!

Apple Pie Sangria, like most sangrias, is not only easy to make, but easy to switch up to suit your individual tastes.

If you don't like a particular ingredient, leave it out...if you think it could use something else, add it in!

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle white wine (I love Sauvignon Blanc, but Pinot Grigio would also work well)
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 3 oz. caramel vodka
  • 1.5 oz. ginger brandy or cinnamon schnapps (optional)
  • 3 apples, chopped
  • 3 pears, chopped
  • club soda (optional)
  • apple cider ice cubes (optional)
  • cinnamon stick (to garnish)

Add the fruit to the bottom of the pitcher, then add the first four ingredients and stir well.

To serve, place a few apple cider ice cubes in a large wine glass. (The apple cider ice cubes will keep the drink cold without diluting the flavor! To make, simply fill ice cube trays with cider, and freeze.) Ladle the sangria --include some fruit!- into the glass, and garnish with a cinnamon stick, and a little club soda if you like it bubbly.

Enjoy, and add this to the list of things to be thankful for!

Switch it up:

Use cinnamon vodka instead of caramel
Rim the glass with caramel sauce and graham cracker crumbs instead of using a cinnamon stick.
Garnish with apple chips

*Please drink responsibly.*
