Apple revealed the changes coming with the latest version of its signature iPhone.

There are only few differences between the new iPhone 5 and the last upgrade, iPhone 4s.

As for the visual changes, the only difference is that the screen will increase from 3.5 to 4 inches in length, allowing an extra row of icons to fit on the screen, and it will be slightly thinner and lighter.

Still available in both black and white, the new iPhone will run on the upgraded iOS6.

It will work on 4G LTE networks (available through Verizon, AT&T and Sprint) for higher-speed phone and internet connection.

A new A6 processor will make this phone twice as fast as the 4s, though the battery life will remain strong, promising 8 hours of LTE web browsing.

The camera is getting an upgrade, with panoramic shots now an option, as well as improved photos in low light.

A third speaker will also be added, improving audio.

The one thing I'm not crazy about? They've changed the dock connector. The new all-digital connector will be smaller, reversible, and reportedly easier to use. (How hard was the old one to use?)

You'll be able to buy an adapter so don't chuck those old speaker docks just yet.

And hopefully Siri has been improved. I wind up not using it much because it rarely understands what I want to do.

The new iPhone 5 will be available for pre-order starting Friday and will hit stores on September 21. They will be between $199 - $399 depending on your choice of 16, 32, or 64 GB phone storage.

I have to say, I love the iPhone 4S...probably the best phone I've ever had. It's just so easy to use! No need to buy the new one just yet, but if you're in the market for a new phone, I'd go with the iPhone 5! (Hear that, Mama C?)

Will you be buying the new iPhone 5?
