In a segment that aired last week on the Fox Business program Follow The Money, commentators accused the recently released film The Muppets of pushing a liberal agenda.

The plot of the film revolves around the Muppets facing off against a wealthy oil executive who plans to tear down Muppet Theater and drill for oil beneath it.

"Liberal Hollywood depicting a successful businessman as evil— that's not new," host Eric Bolling said of the film.

"The only thing green that should be up on that screen should be Kermit the Frog," Dan Gainor of the Media Research Center said during the segment.

The film's release was met with both box office success and critical praise. The movie earned over $41 million in its first five days.
