Summer lovers shouldn't read this. We may be about to have our first frost of the season in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

Our meteorologist Dan Zarrow says it doesn't have to be 32 degrees to get a frost. As long as air temperatures drop to 37, frost can happen and he is predicting that Monday morning may bring temperatures close to that. He says there is a chance the temperature will drop to 38 in the Belmar/Farmingdale area. That's pretty close.

So the deal is Dan thinks most of the area, except for the immediate shore, has a shot at a light frost Monday morning. So maybe we should get those feet out of our flip flops and into some boots...or at least shoes. Check out the latest forecast.
