Are Your Appliances Smarter Than You?

So I had a fight with my dishwasher. And guess who won?

It seems these days that everything in my kitchen has a mind of its own.

From the Keurig to the oven, from the washer/dryer to the dishwasher, (and let's not even get started on the digital thermostat) every appliance has some kind of computer technology telling ME what it will and will not do.

Without an instruction manual in sight, and not wanting to search and download one, I did what any normal person would do -- I started YELLING at my dishwasher!

There are so many buttons to press, with so many rules about how to start, stop, boost, delay, etc. that I must have hit the wrong combo and, no matter how many times I tried to stop it, it ran for FOUR HOURS before it would stop on its own when it finally decided it was done.

Okay, so maybe I shouldn't have freaked out and just started pressing buttons randomly, but can't we just make anything with an on/off switch these days? Seriously!

I mean, it was actually beeping at my like we were having a real argument!

Sigh. At least my new blender went from 20 button combos to just TWO! So maybe there is hope, lol!
