Residents Allowed to Return to Long Beach Island Towns Saturday
Governor Chris Christie has agreed to a plan put forward by the mayors of Long Beach Island to lift the evacuation order for the barrier island communities heavily damaged by Hurricane Sandy, to allow residents controlled access to assess damage, retrieve belongings and permitting repopulation of the island for residents whose homes are safe and habitable.
FEMA Public Assistance Approved for All 21 New Jersey Counties
Governor Chris Christie today announced that the federal government has extended public assistance to all 21 counties in New Jersey as a result of the impact of Hurricane Sandy, extending public assistance now to all 11 New Jersey counties not previously approved.
Pet Rescue Hotline Announced for NJ Residents Affected by Sandy
