As Townsquare New Jersey's Chief Meteorologist, my mission is to provide the most honest, accurate weather forecasts possible. I grew up in Jackson, where my childhood weather obsession earned me the nickname "Weatherman Dan". Since then, I have earned the American Meteorological Society's prestigious Certified Broadcast Meteorologist designation, in recognition of my knowledge and experience. I graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Atmospheric Science. My career as a TV meteorologist included stops in Oklahoma, in Central New York, and at News 12 New Jersey. I also worked for the Northeast Regional Climate Center and the NJ State Climate Office. I recently moved to Union County with my wife Amy, son Jackson, and dog Doppler. Things I love: my family, wine, storm chasing, Broadway musicals, and Disney World.
