Kids all over the Jersey Shore are starting a brand new school year this week, and emotions are mixed from kids and parents alike.

Reactions range from the dad at the Blueclaws game last week who, when the announcer asked if the kids were ready to head back to school, cheered loudly amidst the groan of the kids, to Liz's sadness yesterday on the show, talking about what a great summer she's had with the kids.

Then there are the kids. Some can't wait for the start of the school year, while others held on to the final days of summer like the last hot dog at a barbeque. I don't know about you, but I was one of those kids who held on to summer tightly, and usually didn't get over it until about February.

No matter where you and the kids land on the emotional spectrum, we wish you all a great school year. And for those kids who already miss summer, don't worry, it'll be back before you know it...well, at least Halloween will be...and that's a start.
