Toms River police are looking for a bank robber from an incident that took place Monday afternoon at the Wells Fargo Bank at the corner of Route 37 and Vaughn Avenue.

As a result of the bank robbery that took place at the Wells Fargo Bank at 1700 Route 37 East in the township, police have released surveillance photos of the man allegedly involved in the heist.

The suspect is described by detectives on the case as a white male, possibly in his mid 20's with an average build.

Police tell WOBM News that he walked into the bank wearing a gray hoodie and dark sunglasses and handed the teller a note, but didn't display a weapon.

The suspect then bolted out of the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and headed north on foot.

Detectives are currently following up on leads and the investigation is ongoing.
