Basenji Mix from Keyport Need a Home

Meet Joy, our Point Pet of the Week.

Joy is a 9-year old Basenji mix who originally came to the Monmouth County SPCA from another shelter that would have put her down back in 2012. She was adopted...

...but has now been returned because her current family was moving overseas and couldn't take her.

The MCSPCA cannot believe that someone hasn't been able to give Joy a true forever home. She is so sweet and so deserving of a home to call her own to enjoy the rest of her life in.

This laid back girl loves to go for rides in the car and check out all of the scenery. Joy also enjoys taking a nice leisurely walk on a beautiful day. She has the best manners and is always so good-natured about everything. She has been known to enjoy a few nice naps in the afternoon on a couch or two.

Joy's calm and gentle demeanor wins over the heart of many of her volunteer and staff friends as she is always so grateful to see them coming to take her out. She prefers to be the queen of the castle as the only pet...but don't worry. She is not high maintenance at all!!!

This dog's name says it all. Joy will fill your home with endless love and happiness for years to come.
