The Central Jersey Chapter of the JDRF is holding it's Walk To Cure Diabetes this Sunday October 6th at the Seaside Heights Boardwalk.

The event is expected to draw over 2000 walkers representing businesses, families, schools and other organizations. Registration begins at 9am. The walk will be about 3.5 miles long, starting and ending at Carteret Avenue on the Seaside Heights Boardwalk. It will be a day of fun for the whole family, and all for a great cause.

The chapter has set a fundraising goal of more than $300,000 which will help fund research toward progressively removing the impact of type 1 diabetes (T1D) until it is no longer a threat to people with the disease and their families, according to a JDRF press release.
