Something in the way he was driving was the reason police in Manchester pulled over a Beachwood man, but then they found a number of drugs in the car and none bigger than the cocaine collection.

Manchester Police pulled over Michael Trotman, 33, on Route 37 in the township on Thursday after it had been spotted by the Narcotics Enforcement Tram near Route 571 and Route 70.

An investigation at the traffic stop led to a search of the 2015 Toyota Camry.

The search discovered 1.6 pounds of cocaine, 27 oxycodone pills, 5 ounces of liquid codeine, 15 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia; an approximate street value of over $72,000.00.

Trotman was charged with one count each of Possession of and Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine, three counts of Possession of and one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Oxycodone, one count each of Possession of and Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of Codeine, Hindering Evidence by Concealment, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

He was lodged in Ocean County Jail in lieu of bail.

The Camry was seized during the investigation, as well as approximately $1,400.00 in cash, pending forfeiture.
