Our Point Pet of the Week is so precious that he will hopefully be embraced as someone's pet very soon!

Meet Homer, a 2-year old housd mix who is the true meaning of a gentle giant. This boys originally was rescued from a shelter down south that would have killed him. He came to the Monmouth County SPCA as part of the shelter's transport program where they rescue wonderful animals from overcrowded shelters that would otherwise be put down.

Homer was adopted from the MCSPCA but returned after 2 months because the landlord would not let the family keep him. Homer loves everyone he meets and enjoys going for walks and being with his friends. He is also a playful boy who loves squeaky toys and tennis balls.

Homer has been lucky enough to have some wonderful outings with his volunteer friends and has met their dogs and cats without any concerns at all. He is well behaved in the car and walks well on leash. He really is a very good boy that would be the perfect addition to any family!
