Although Belmar thanks you for clothing donations, they now have enough of that to distribute. HOWEVER, they are in great need of the following:Belmar's Hurricane Relief Distribution Center remains open and in need of certain items to assist residents in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. It's located at the Belmar Arts Council Building, 608 River Road @ Seventh Avenue in Belmar.

The center is particularly in need of items to assist residents and volunteers in the celanup and debris removal efforts currently taking place. Specific items needed are:

Work gloves and Latex gloves

Flashlights

Batteries

Bleach and other Cleaning Products

Rakes

Contractor Bags

Packing Tape

Markers (Sharpie-type)

Paper Towels

Rags

Sponges

Mops & Buckets

Belmar residents in need of care and supplies should report to the Boro Hall gymnasium at 601 Main Street for free food, water, clothing, care kits and cell phone charging stations. The gym is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
