What makes a great singing voice? For me, it’s all about distinction. A singing voice worthy of praise and the pedestal needs to be a true original. Simply put, when I hear a song I immediately identify the artist due to their signature sound. Have you ever heard a song and thought to yourself, “that could be several different people…I wonder who that is?!” As a music enthusiast, that is the ultimate frustration for me.

Along with a distinct sound, a true artist vocally owns a song, taking intuitive risks at just the right moments and eventually building up to a powerful belt that rattles the music lover’s soul.
