The Lakewood BlueClaws have a very special day approaching and it's going to be awesome for the whole family!

Cole Hamels, one of the great pitchers of our generation and one of the most popular Philadelphia Phillies, is having his Lakewood BlueClaws number retired this coming Monday June 9th.

The ceremony to retire #19 will take place at 6:45pm, prior to the Lakewood BlueClaws 7:05pm game against Hagerstown. Hamels began his BlueClaws career in 2003 before becoming a legendary Philadelphia Phillies star.

Hamels is the second BlueClaws player to receive the honor. Ryan Howard's number was retired in 2010. For more details on the big night and to get tickets, just visit the Lakewood BlueClaws website
