A British charity called the People's Dispensary for Sick Animals is holding a contest for obese pets called The Pet Fit Club. The competition includes 11 dogs, five cats and two rabbits. The PDSA will provide diet and exercise advice to the pet owners, with the goal of helping the pets to lose weight. Luckily, there's a great organization in Monmouth county that you can help so this doesn't happen.

While this program may seem funny, too many animals are not being cared for and eventually end up in the hands of the Monmouth County SPCA. During my Pay It Forward campaign, I got to see first hand how dedicated the staff and volunteers are. There are hundreds of animals in the facility and the crew knew each pets name, it was amazing. If you are looking to add a pet to the family, always remember to consider adopting first. Here are just a couple of the many great dogs looking for a home!

Visit the Monmouth County SPCA here and learn more about their adoption center opening in the Freehold Raceway Mall! I'll be helping cut the ribbon with The Point Crew.
