Some of our loyal listeners came up with some great poems for Lou! If you missed them on the show this morning, here they are:

This one is from friend and fan Dr. Alan Stern:

Lou is the king of the airwaves at this station

Bringing us the finest radio in the nation

He's the man in charge, bringing laughs to you and me

But his reign ends when he leaves 94.3

Lou's a fearless man in front of a mic

He cuts Liz and Nancy off any time he likes

But his bravado melts if you tell him he's flying

Even to the best of places - I'm really not lying!

Something happens to our birthday boy's brain

Even though he'd have a great time on a plane

For this pint sized guy the legroom would be neat

And the aircraft bathroom would seem like a 3 bedroom suite!

Lou and Diane own a beautiful boat

But aboard the USS Russo he does not gloat

Because whether the boat's on calm seas or rough waters

Diane is in charge and Lou takes the orders!

Now we know today is all about you, Lou

I guess it's just like any other day - what else is new?

I'm sorry Gary Gellman is acting a bit surly

But I kind of lied to get him out here this early

Our celebrity photographer's demanding some answers

Because you don't look anything like Pope Francis!

We know you love the attention and I don't mean to be wimpy

But attendance at your party today is a bit skimpy

Your friend Terry Loftus didn't want to fill your birthday with fright

Because you'd think he's here to drive you to a transatlantic flight

Eric Scott was too busy - in your mind please don't indict him

And Bon Jovi could have been here but Liz didn't invite him

Lou, this will be a great birthday for you, fella

Your Mets are winning and the Giants...at least they're not in the cellar

You have a devoted wife in the beautiful Diane

And your well deserved life is going according to plan

Nancy and Liz are joining the guys

To wish you the best - that's no surprise

May you enjoy a year of health and success

Happy Birthday to you, Lou, one of the Jersey Shore's best!

And our morning show friend and listener Dana Connolly wrote this:

Today is a tribute

Happy birthday to you

The amazingly funny and talented Lou

Although Alan Stern delivers his annual verse

I figured I would try - certainly couldn't be worse

The things we learn daily

Just make us love you more

You're a giant personality

in a frame of 5'4

Looking out for others and trying to help Liz

Life wouldn't be the same without your nose in everyone's biz

We love you Lou, the morning man we adore

Happy birthday to you, but we may love Liz more!!!
