Boy Nearly Drowns In Lakewood Swimming Pool
An eight-year-old boy remains in stable condition after being pulled from a swimming pool in Lakewood.
Lakewood Hatzolah emergency services respond to an 8 year old boy falling to the bottom of a swimming pool
Lakewood Police say the boy fell into a pool on Fernwood Avenue around 5:50 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. According to the LakewoodScoop.com two on-duty lifeguards pulled him from the bottom of the pool.
When police arrived they found the boy conscious and being treated by emergency medical personnel. He was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center trauma unit,
The pool is a private pool where children get swimming lessons.
17 people were present at the pool at the time of the incident according to police.
The incident remains under investigation by Lakewood Police and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.
