Brick Police arrest a township man for threatening his neighbor with a Samurai sword. 35-year-old John Jandola allegedly held the sword to the throat of a neighbor Monday who knocked on his door to complain about the foul odor of dog feces and urine emanating from his apartment. The victim also said Jandola pushed him and caused minor abrasions.

As a result of the investigation, police say a Samurai type sword was recovered and Jandola was arrested by officer Brian Williams.

However, just the day before on Sunday evening, police had responded to Jandola's Finchley Drive residence to do a welfare check on him because of the odor and ordered him to clean up the apartment. Police say at the time Jandola agreed to clean up the apartment.

He now faces assault, weapons and terroristic threats counts with bail set at $30-thousand dollars.
