24-year-old Matthew Barther of Long Valley collided with his brother Patrick Barther, 20, near the Pier One Motel and the Mathis Bridge in Toms River around 7:45 p.m. Sunday nigh.
Both men were taken by boat to the Pier One’s marina and taken to Community Medical Center. Matthew was pronounced dead at the hospital while Patrick was treated for minor injuries.
