D'Autorio was knocking on doors pretending to offer his plumbing services to anyone who answered, but when he found an empty home he broke in and helped himself to valuables including a wallet and credit cards.

Along with the assistance of Lacey Police Detectives, Berkeley Detectives apprehended D'Autorio without incident as well as 'seizing' a 2004 BMW and a large amount of cash as a result of the investigation.

After being arrested on two counts of burglary and posting $5,000.00 bail on December 1, the investigation unveiled new details leading to a second arrest of D'Autorio.

On Wednesday December 7, police executed a search warrant on the 2004 BMW and found prescription narcotics.

In addition to the burglary charges he now faces charges including Possession of Hydrocodone, Possession of Oxycodone, Possession of Alprazolam, Possession of Codeine and Possessing Burglar Tools.

He was again arrested without incident and transported to the Ocean County Jail on $30,000.00 bail.
