Seriously, how awesome is Asbury Park? The history is one-of-a-kind, the beach is beautiful, the businesses are wonderful, and the locals are the best. At Sea.Hear.Now, during his performance, Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam praised Asbury Park by saying, "We've got surf, we've got good people, we've got a boardwalk, we've got pinball machines, we've got everything a human being could want..." He's right!

I am from Wall Township but I know what it's like to live far away from home. After getting my undergraduate degree from West Virginia University, I moved to a small town in western Kentucky to start my radio career. After that, I lived in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for three years. Long story short, there is nothing better than living at the Jersey Shore. Monmouth & Ocean County are awesome! The locals "get it", the restaurants are tremendous, and you can never run out of fun things to do.
I love that Jon Stewart is a Jersey Shore fixture. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. He is always aligning himself with ways to help others and this is no exception. Jon Stewart will guest host a gala for a Lunch Break, at the Count Basie Center for the Arts on Oct. 15th to help feed Monmouth County and beyond.

Last week I went to a huge comedy event at Madison Square Garden, New York City Still Rising After 20 Years. It took place just a day after September 11th's 20 year anniversary. It was hosted by Jersey favorite and massive 9/11 fund advocate Jon Stewart and one of my personal favorite comedians Pete Davidson. For those that don't know, Pete's Dad was a firefighter and was killed on 9/11. When I heard they were throwing this event, I was all in even before I knew the laundry list of comedian royalty joining them...but now I'm worried for all my favorite comedians...they better get tested for COVID NOW.
