The way Monmouth and Ocean counties have come together as we Restore The Shore is nothing short of amazing and humbling. Here's more proof that everyone young and old are stepping up to help others recover from Sandy's aftermath. Here's one touching story.
We all know that sports fans are superstitious. What I didn't know was how much luck we bring to our favorite team. I think my combination of a Tom Couhglin shirt and my new Giants pajamas gave the Giants just enough to beat the Redskins yesterday.
It was a thrill actually being in a harness race at legendary Freehold Raceway! And a thrill to know that all I had to do to win that race was to beat Liz. It was all going great until I looked over my shoulder at the stretch and saw just how close Liz was to me.
After all the trash talk last week, it came down to one thing. Who would win the harness race at Freehold Raceway that would give the victor bragging rights as the greatest harness driver in the history of our moning show?
After Monday night's mess with Green Bay and the mounting frustration from players, coaches, and fans about the horrific calls by replacement refs so far this season...the regular refs could return as soon as this week.
This Saturday, the Open Space Pace takes place in Freehold. It starts with a parade through town, then a full day of harness racing at Freehold Raceway and wraps up with a Southside Johnny concert. It's during the day of racing that I will take on Liz in an actual harness race!
You may have noticed everyone's displeasure with the NFL replacement refs. It's all over the web and Facebook. It was only a matter of time before a "Call Me Maybe" parody was created. Enjoy "Call It Maybe."
